The inspiration for Pelota started when we visited Cuba to coach baseball back in 2017. While there, we realized that there was no proper way to get equipment, that means no specialty sports stores, and no baseball stores. These youths relied on tourists like ourselves to keep their programs going. The only thing we could give, were the few pieces of equipment we had, we couldn’t fix the fields, broken equipment, or lack of baseballs problem. Then the question came up of “why couldn’t we?”, and that brings us to today!

 

Our mission is to help baseball communities around the world have access to proper gear, facilities, and educational opportunities.
